EL PASO, Texas —
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office received a tip about illegal drug activity happening at home on the 2900 block of Lebanon, said spokesman for the office Jesse Tovar, a spokesman for the office.
Strike Team deputies conducted surveillance and witnessed activity that they believe is related to drug sales, deputies said.
The activity was described as multiple vehicles arriving at the home where occupants would approach the home, and within a matter of minutes, the individuals would return to their vehicles and leave, said Tovar.
Deputies found drug paraphernalia and 6.6 ounces of marijuana inside the home . The six men arrested were Nolan Richardson Middle School teacher Stephen Sommerville II, 36; Jose Gurrola Jr., 29; Zoilo Soto, 33; Arturo Medina, 26; David Medina, 22; and Daniel Esparza, 19.
Sommerville, Soto, Arturo Medina, David Medina and Ezparza were all charged with possession with marijuana under 2 ounces. Gurrola was charged with possession of marijuana over 4 ounces, under 5 pounds.
