El Paso man vandalizes eastside Whataburger

EL PASO, Texas —

A 21-year-old man was spotted vandalizing an east El Paso fast food restaurant by police officers Tuesday evening. 

Zaur Pegueros according to El Paso police was spraying graffiti on a wall at the Whataburger off of Lomaland and Gateway West.

When Pegueros was approached by them, he ran off, leading them in a short oot pursuit.

Police said when he was finally captured they found knuckles, which is considered a prohibited weapon.

He was charged with graffiti, evading arrest or detention and possession of prohibited weapon.

Pegueros was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $3,479.
