EL PASO, Texas —

Servicemen who work for El Paso Electric will provide aid in New York.

Crews were scheduled to leave to New York to restore power to the community. A EPE spokeswoman said they were orginally scheduled to help out in Maryland and leave Wednesday.

There they will restore power to approximately 3.3 million customers.

About 28 people from EPE crews will head out to eastern seaboard later this week.
