The chase started on Desert Boulevard South around 11 p.m. Police attempted to stop a 41-year-old man driving a green Dodge Stratus for having a broken tai ll ight.
Police sa id the man refused to pull over and ran a red light in the Artcraft area period The man then continued to drive into a residential neighborhood in the 5800 block of Ethel in the Upper Valley. That is when authorities say he fled on foot.
The man was found hiding under a trailer after a brief search of the area. Police said he appeared to be intoxicated and they were able to place him in custody.
No one was injured and there was no damage to any property.
The man now faces charges of evading police, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.
