El PASO, Texas —

El Paso police said they believe alcohol was involved in a deadly accident Monday morning, and the couple involved may have visited a bar notorious for alcohol-related incidents.

As KFOX 14 reported, several friends of Juana Muniz and Fernando Rodriguez said the couple was out partying Sunday night just hours before a deadly crash.

"We were just at Tork enjoying life," said Fernando Rincon, a friend of the couple.

Rincon saw Muniz and Rodriguez just hours before a crash that led to Muniz's death.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission  said they would first have to confirm if Muniz was at the bar before launching an investigation.

KFOX 14 spoke to a man who only wanted to be identified as Efrain but said he was the owner of Tork. He said TABC officials did stop by the bar.

"They came two days ago. They came to see the videos, ask about what happened," said Efrain. "They came to check what time she had left."

Erfain said he doesn't believe Tork was the couple's last stop.

"The guy left early. I think they went to Romeo's to drink there," he said.

TABC officials said KFOX 14 should receive more information on any investigations involving Tork Friday morning.

In the meantime, KFOX 14 has uncovered several complaints and incidents involving the bar.

In May, KFOX 14 reported Pedro Aguero admitted to police he had had too much to drink, leading to two crashes as he drove the wrong way on Interstate 10. On Facebook he checked into several establishments, including Tork.

Just a couple of months before that, two men were stabbed at the bar.

KFOX 14 also uncovered a list of complaints at the bar dating back to 2009, including serving minors and overserving. That same year, the bar paid nearly $7,000 for violations, including selling during prohibited hours.

One of Muniz's recent posts on Facebook said when she died, she wanted a big party with tequila, pink roses everywhere and mariachis. Friends are reportedly planning the party to be at Tork this coming Sunday.
