EL PASO, Texas —
A fire broke out in a home in east El Paso early Tuesday morning.
Battalion Chief Ray Valencia said the blaze broke out just before 5 a.m. at 8009 Parkland Dr.
Fire crews responded within minutes and found flames sparking out the front door.
Valencia said a 29-year-old woman was home at the time and escaped alone. She did not suffer any major injuries but requested a checkup and was taken to a local hospital.
It took 27 firefighters to contain the flames and about half an hour to finally put it out.
Valenica said they believe the fire started in back of the home and investigators have not determined what caused it yet.
