Early-morning elementary school bus crash leaves none injured

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

Dona Ana County Sheriff's deputies responded to an early-morning crash involving a school bus carrying students from Dona Ana Elementary School. 

At 7:30 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an accident at the intersection of El Camino Real Road and Elks Drive. 

Deputies said the school bus was at a stop sign turning left onto Elks Drives when it was struck by a car going northbound on El Camino Real Road. 

Deputies said the cause of the crash is unknown and no injuries were reported. 

The students were safely removed from the bus and were accompanied by teachers and the school's principal as they walked to school.
