Drivers Walk Away From Crash In Horizon City

A car crash in Horizon City sent two people to the hospital Sunday.

Despite the look of the crashed vehicles, both drivers had non-life threatening injuries.

It happened at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Ascention and Horizon Blvd.

An off duty firefighter noticed the wreck and quickly stopped to help.

Emergency crews arrived shorty after, and used the jaws of life to remove a woman from her car.

Horizon City Fire Department Assistant Chief Stephen Hoeller said, "One driver of each vehicle was injured, both of them were taken to Thomason Hospital for trauma."

Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in Sunday's crash.
