Driver suspected of DWI falls asleep with child inside

EL PASO, Texas —
A traffic stop ended in the arrest of a woman suspected of drunken driving with her child in the car early Thursday morning. El Paso police officers noticed that a 2010 Honda Fit was stopped at the intersection of 1900 George Dieter and Montwood drives. Kassandra Michelle Meza, 22, was asleep behind the wheel when police officers approached the vehicle she was in, said a police spokesman. Police said the Meza was intoxicated, asleep and had a child under the age of 15 years in the car with her. They also said Meza was in possession of marijuana. She was booked into the El paso County Jail on a $1,800. bond.
