RIDGEFIELD, Conn. —
A film director is heading to Connecticut to make a made-for-TV movie about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
According to News 12-Connecticut, director Jonathan Bucari said he will be in the town of Ridgefield on Monday to prepare for the project.
As KFOX 14 first reported,a gunman killed 20 first-graders and six educators on Dec. 14 after killing his mother at their home in Newtown.
The town of Ridgefield is about 20 miles southwest of Newtown.
Bucari told News 12 he picked the town because it has a similar look and feel to Newtown. He added he felt it was not appropriate to film the project in Newtownso soon after the tragedy.
