Deputy: Semitruck Driver Killed In Rollover Died Of Heart Attack

EL PASO, Texas —

The driver of a semitruck that rolled over in west El Paso County on Tuesday evening died, said Deputy Jesse Tovar, spokesman for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The semitruck rolled over on Interstate 10 east near mile marker 4 around 6 p.m. Tovar said the driver, a 56-year-old Francis J. Gay from El Paso, suffered a heart attack, which made him lose control of the truck.

Gay later died at University Medical Center from the heart attack and not from injuries suffered in the crash, Tovar said.

An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
