EL PASO COUNTY, Texas —
El Paso County sheriff's officials said a woman and her 8-year-old son were injured in an ATV accident in Red Sands.
Around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the Red Sands area in reference to the accident.
Deputies, fire officials and first responders found Claudia Cisneros and her son at the 16200 block of Montana Avenue, about a mile from the Red Sands entrance.
Officials said Cisneros, 35, was driving the ATV with her son as the passenger when she lost control and crashed. They were both taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Officials said that from Jan. 1 to Nov. 26, 2012, deputies responded to eight injured party incidents at Red Sands.
