Deputies looking for homicide suspect

By Oscar Garcia

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they say stabbed a man to death back in January of 2004.

They say Carlos Urquidi is the prime suspect in the death of Armando Ignacio.

He was found stabbed in his Westway, Texas home.

Deputies believe Urquidi fled to Mexico after the stabbing, but may be making his way back to the borderland.

Urquidi may have family in El Paso and Anthony, N.M.

He is described as a Hispanic male, medium build, 5 feet 8 inches, approximately 160 pounds with a "Tribal Wreath" tattoo on his left arm, the face of an Indian on his right arm and a tattoo on his chest which reads "Urquidi".

If you know where he is, call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477). Information leading to an arrest could earn you a reward of up to $1,000.
