EL PASO, TX —

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl.

Police said on Monday, June, 25, a 15-year-old girl was walking home from school on the 8800 block of Alameda near Padres.  That’s when a male suspect drove his car across her path and made her stop.

Police said the man asked the young girl if she needed a ride home and she refused. He then allegedly got out of the car and attempted to push her into the car, but the victim was able to get away and walk into a nearby business for safety.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30’s with dark hair and dark complexion who wore a baseball cap, black t-shirt and clear eye glasses. He had no facial hair.

His vehicle is described as a white 4-door compact car, possibly with leather interior and a rosary hanging from the rear view mirror.

If you have any information at all about the identity of the suspect in this case, please contact Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (566-8477), on-line at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org or you can send a text message by entering the key word CRIME1 (no space) plus your tip information, and text it to CRIMES (274637).

You will remain anonymous and, if your tip leads to an arrest, you can qualify for a cash reward.
