Crews Called Out to Water Rescue

Border Patrol and El Paso Fire Department swift water rescue crews responded to a call of a water rescue in a canal along the Border Highway and Fonseca Drive.

The call came out just before 6 a.m. Emergency dispatchers confirm the person involved was a woman, but did not immediately say how long she had been in the water.

Paramedics performed CPR on the victim on the way to Thomason Hospital.

As of late Thursday night the victim is being listed in critical condition at Thomason Hospital.
