Crazy weather sweeps through borderland

By Ric Dupont

Chief Meterologist Sandra Diaz, People on the street

EL PASO, Texas —

Crazy weather swept across the borderland today and as fast as it came, it went.

Around 1 p.m. parts of east El Paso saw rain and even hail. That weather slowed down for a little while but then high winds and sand blew through El Paso at Airway Road and Montana Avenue.

The winds got up into the 50 mph range and El Paso hasn't had a lot of rain so dust was just waiting to be blown around.

Everybody who spoke with KFOX14 News just happened to be from out of town so no one was really impressed with the crazy weather.

Darrel Murdoch said he's seen much worse in Virginia.

"It's warm compared to pretty much every place north of here.’” Murdoch said. “This is gorgeous."
