Crash Victim Laid To Rest

EL PASO, Texas —

One week after he and a friend died in a traffic crash near the El Paso Zoo, The family and friends of 18-year-old Vicente Munoz laid him to rest Friday.

Police said Munoz was driving a Ford Focus that crashed in the 4000 block of Paisano, in the early-morning hours of last Friday, killing him and passenger Jorge Pineda.

A second passenger was critically injured.

Investigators said alcohol and speed both contributed to the accident.

At Friday’s funeral, Munoz's family offered this advice to young people.
