November 13, 2006 —

A serious accident in Clint left at least three people injured Monday night.

It happened around 8:40 p.m. on F.M. 1110 at the railroad tracks near the San Lorenzo church.

The crash involved at least two vehicles, one of them being a truck carrying a trailer.

Emergency dispatchers said two people were transported to Thomason Hospital and another to William Beaumont Army Medical Center. All three victims including two men and a woman in their 30s suffered serious injuries.

Firefighters had to free one person from a vehicle with the Jaws of Life.

Sheriff's officials told KFOX a train was not involved, but that the vehicles landed on the tracks and a train did have to make an emergency stop.
