Crash on NMSU campus leaves instructor in critical condition

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

A Dona Ana Community College instructor is in critical condition after a morning crash on campus. 

The crash happened around 8:18 a.m. at Knox and Stewart streets on New Mexico State University property. 

According to school officials, 53-year-old Lucy Sandoval was hit by a vehicle driven by an NMSU employee. 

The name of the NMSU employee has not been released, due to an ongoing investigation.
