Craigslist posting listed stolen item, seller arrested

EL PASO, Texas —
A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday when deputies saw a Craigslist posting that listed a stolen item, deputies said.El Paso County sheriff's officials found a detailed item posted on Craigslist that had been reported stolen on Feb. 9. Deputies spoke to the seller, Roberto Lopez, who agreed to meet at a parking lot in the 700 block of Sunland Park Drive. When undercover deputies confirmed that the item for sale was stolen property, Lopez was arrested. Lopez was charged with organized retail theft over $500 and under $1,500, and he was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with bail set at $5,000. A juvenile was also charged with the same offense, deputies said.
