Coronado High School released early due to water problems

EL PASO, Texas —

Students at Coronado High School were released early Friday afternoon due to a water main break near the their school, officials with the El Paso Independent School district said.

The students were released at 1:30 p.m. after the break cut off water service to the school for several hours.

Parents were notified through the district's School Messenger system about the early release, said officials.

The water main break was reported early Friday.

Water lines on a portion of Resler Street between the 700 and 900 blocks were shut off.
