EL PASO, Texas —
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich seized on one of the wildest weeks ever in primary politics, winning Saturday's South Carolina Republican presidential primary. However, conservative Borderland voters tell KFOX14, their pick for President of the United States has not been decided just yet.
"Honestly, no, I don't [know]," one El Paso woman told KFOX14 at a pro-life rally at El Paso High School on Sunday.
"It would only be Santorum or Gingrich at this point," said Barb Schaumburg of West El Paso, also at the rally.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich stole the show at the South Carolina primary on Saturday. He picked up the undecided votes in the last days of the campaign. He didn't just take votes from Mitt Romney, but also Rick Santorum and Ron Paul, scoring 40 percent of the vote.
Romney won the New Hampshire primary, which Santorum won the Iowa primary. Gingrich, along with the other three candidates, are heading to Florida for the next primary, scheduled for January 31st.
