Murder is the number one cause of death among young African-Americans, the second leading cause of death among all young Americans, and firearms are most involved. Young Guns tells the stories of those devastated by gun violence: victims’ families, gunshot victims paralyzed for life and a young man convicted of murder and imprisoned for 26 years. About Connecting With Kids
KFOX Television, Connecting with Kids (CWK) Network Inc. and Prices Creameries are honored to bring to the El Paso/Las Cruces area schools and community a unique program focusing on the education, health and well-being of children and their families.
Based on "Character Education" curriculum, KFOX Television has a community awareness campaign on both KFOX-TV and KFOXTV.com. KFOX-TV has made a three year commitment to this project.
During the school year parents, teachers, students and the community will come together to Connect! "Character Education" curriculum will be taught in the classroom, outside resources will be available on KFOXTV.com and community awareness promotional spots will run on KFOX-TV. It's an opportunity to educate and bring awareness to the entire community topical issues of interest to our youth and do it through these Character Traits:
