EL PASO, Texas —

On the first day of their release from custody of the Bureau of Prisons, former Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos speak with KFOX about the national attention they have received.

Compean and Ramos were being held in "home confinement", a form of house arrest, which means they're still under Bureau of Prisons supervision.

At 8 a.m. Friday, both were free men.

Ramos and Compean are famous names that will be forever associated with a controversial shooting at the Mexico border.

Both men are eager to tell their stories. Watch KFOX News at Six for complete coverage on their story.
