EL PASO, Texas —

The fire that broke out at a commercial building in south-central El Paso was put out.

The fire broke out in the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue around 11:11 a.m. 

About 18 fire units and 54 firefighters responded to the fire. No one was inside the building at the time of the fire.

Officials said the building was used as a storage facility for building supplies such as lumber, wood doors and wood frames. Fire officials said the building is a total loss.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was said to be due to faulty electrical wiring.
