EL PASO, Texas —

The city of El Paso has a full-time team of anti-graffiti technicians who clean up tagging at parks, homes and on street signs found through patrols and community requests.

City officials said that graffiti is not only an eyesore, but it also lowers property values, attracts more graffiti and may threaten public safety.

Last week, the anti-graffiti program services had 67 removal requests and cleaned up 430 sites. Officials said the removal sites were greater than requests because the staff actively removed graffiti from locations they came across.

Anyone who wants to report graffiti can contact the city's graffiti removal services at 915-621-6789.
