Customs and Border Protection officers caught a woman at the border that was wanted in Illinois.

Officers said Mary Ann Gibson, 46, entered the El Paso port of entry as a pedestrian, Monday.

She presented her passport, and a check confirmed a warrant was out for her arrest.

She was turned over to El Paso police and booked into the county detention facility awaiting extradition to Illinois.

CBP officers said they make between 25 and 40 fugitive arrests at El Paso ports every week.
