EL PASO, Texas —

If you have a little one who still requires a car seat and have trouble installing it, Dona Ana County officials can help.

Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department, along with the New Mexico Department of Transportation and Safer New Mexico Now will be at the Kohl's at 2500 N. Triviz in Las Cruces to demonstrate how to safely install a car seat.

They will also check your current car seat for broken parts, or check if it's been recalled, has expired, or is otherwise unsafe.

The event happens Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., is open to the public and is free of charge.

Be sure to bring your car seat and if possible, the child who uses it.

For more information, contact the Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department, 575-525-5833 or toll free, 1-800-231-6145.
