It happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 eastbound near the Copia Street off-ramp.
Responding police officers discovered a Ford Focus that had rolled over at least once.
The driver was waiting outside the vehicle.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his head.
Police had not given a cause for the accident.
