EL PASO,Texas —
A man is charged with Driving While Intoxicated after an early-morning collision on I-10 West at Redd Road.
Officers said witnesses spotted David Boyer, 40, of Austin, speeding westbound on I-10 when he struck a light pole, then a guard rail and spun out just after 2 a.m. Saturday.
A witness and off-duty peace officer got Boyer out of the car before it caught on fire.
Officers said Boyer was intoxicated, and placed him under arrest for DWI. He was booked in the El Paso County Jail. Boyer’s bond was set at $1,000.
