Brush Fire In Sunland Park Contained By 5 Fire Departments

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. —

Dona Ana County officials said fire crews have contained a brush fire that was burning in a desert area of Sunland Park, N.M. N.M., on Friday afternoon.

The fire started around 2 p.m. Friday near Sunland Park Drive and McNutt Road.

The blaze burned about 20 to 25 acres.

Ranchers at the Frontera Training Center said they helped to put out flames that were burning near their barn.

Fire officials said no injuries were reported.

Fire crews from Dona Ana, La Union, Santa Teresa, El Paso and Sunland Park worked together to put out the blaze.
