A body was discovered floating in the Rio Grande Monday afternoon.
El Paso fire crews were called out to what was originally supposed to be a water rescue near Loop 375 and Fonseca.
When they arrived, the rescue effort turned into a body recovery instead.
An identity of the deceased has not been released, but KFOX was told the incident was handed over to the Juarez Fire Department.
