EL PASO, Texas —

A bobcat was discovered roaming in Central El Paso family's backyard near Raynolds Street and Yandell Drive Saturday evening.

Parks and Recreation officials tell KFOX 14 the animal is considered small, weighing in at 22 pounds.

The game warden had to shoot it in the yard, where it was found.

Officials said they were forced to kill the animal because it was not acting normally, likely because it had rabies.

The game warden said it was posed, ready to attack.
