EL PASO, Texas —

A child playing with matches is to blame for an East El Paso home fire.

The fire broke out at on the 11300 block of Bob Mitchell Street around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire crews at the scene reported no injuries.

Investigators determined a 5-year-old child who was playing with matches inside a closet caused the blaze.

The estimated damage done to the home is $75,000.

Red Cross volunteers were called in to assist.
