Blaze Damages 4 Homes, 2 Construction Trailers

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso fire officials said a home, three homes under construction and two construction trailers were all damaged in a fire early Sunday morning.

The massive fire broke out just before 6:30 a.m. in the 12900 block of Hidden Grove Drive in far East El Paso. Investigators said the fire was intentionally set.

Witnesses report a small four door sedan leaving the area around the time of the blaze, officials said.

Fire crews dispatched 14 units to the condition four fire.

KFOX crews at the scene said two of the three homes that were under construction were completely burned down.

Damages were estimated at more than $600,000.

Five homes under construction have caught fire this month, fire officials said. Officials have not determined if they are related.
