Big Sales May Last Beyond Black Friday

Aaron Flores has been in line at a Westside Best Buy since 10 p.m. Wednesday night. All in order to get his daughter's Christmas present.

"I've been trying to look for the Nintendo Wii,” Flores said. “It is pretty much sold out everywhere."

Flores has already spent his Thanksgiving and nearly 24 hours of his life outside in the cold, and he is not done waiting.

"I'm going to be here all night, all morning, just getting ready to get in the store," he said.

Flores has company outside the store. Plenty of others are giving up their holiday and braving the elements, especially now in our hurting economy.

"I lost my job back in July,” said bargain shopper Gabriel Mansouraty. “I try to save whatever I can save.”

With the current state of the economy, however, some experts say people may necessarily need to line up this Black Friday.

Normally prices shoot up to regular retail prices after Friday, but maybe not this year.

Large retailers like Wal-Mart and Best Buy are expected to have a number of sales and incentives starting Friday through the Christmas holiday.

If holiday sales are slow, look for even deeper discounts to get rid of extra merchandise.

Still, some like Aaron Flores would rather not take the chance.

"It's really boring out here, but it's worth it, the the sales are worth it," Flores said.
