Ben Swann is an Emmy award-winning journalist who has been a member of the KFOX news team since 1998. An El Paso native, most recently he has been a resident of Las Cruces where he was KFOX's Las Cruces Bureau reporter. While there he was named the top television reporter in the region by the Southern New Mexico Press Club.
Now Ben teams up with fellow award-winning journalist Elizabeth Alvarez to start your day the way you deserve - with a newscast that informs you about what happened since you went to sleep, not what you already knew before you went to bed. The KFOX Morning News is El Pasos fastest growing newscast, with more and more viewers tuning in to Ben and Liz every weekday morning from 5 to 8am.
There is something truly amazing about watching a sunrise. What a great time of day! Growing up in Canutillo, I loved to watch the sunrise over the Franklin Mountains. The world awakens with possibility as all things become new.
Maybe that is part of the reason I am so excited about the KFOX Morning News. It's an opportunity to provide this community with three hours of local and breaking national news, weather, and traffic, every day.
KFOX has been committed for the past eight years to providing the areas most accurate coverage of late breaking news, and in-depth investigations. Now, we are making the same commitment to providing overnight and early morning coverage that matters to this community.
It is a commitment that I am proud to make because this is my community. My wife and I were both born and raised right here in the Sun City. We are proud to raise our two girls and our son here as well.
I look forward to continuing a commitment of excellence through the KFOX Morning News. Thank you for watching!
