LAS CRUCES —
Martinez, 25, was arrested early Tuesday morning after investigators said they learned that she was having sexual relations with the boy.
Martinez is now charged with 20 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor, all fourth-degree felonies.
Las Cruces police detectives found that Martinez was baby sitting the boy and his two siblings since June 1, 2008. Martinez told detectives that she engaged in sex with the boy on several occasions beginning July 8 and, as a result, now may be pregnant.
Martinez’s bond, initially set at $5,000, was increased to $45,000.
