Authorities Make Large Drug Bust

Border Patrol agents working with officers from the Department of Public Safety make one of the largest drug busts in the area this year.

Agents seized more than 3 tons of marijuana from an alleged stash house in the Lower Valley.

Officials say they were tipped off, after Border Patrol agents stopped a van near the Ysleta port of entry.

They say the van was also carrying bundles of pot.

Five people were arrested, including three U.S. citizens.

Officials say the El Paso area is a major artery for narcotic smuggling.

They're asking people to keep an eye out for stash houses in their neighborhood.
