Lawyers Theresa Caballero and Stuart Leeds were found guilty of contempt of court charges on Saturday morning, but they will not face any fines.
According to the El Paso Times, visiting Judge Juanita Vasquez of San Antonio said it would be a “travesty” if disciplinary proceedings before the State Bar of Texas disbarred the attorneys.
The trial was to determine if Caballero and Leeds were guilty of misconduct in the bribery trial of 448th District Judge Regina Arditti.
