Suspect's bond set at $1 million

El Paso Sheriff's Office

EL PASO CO., Texas —

Late Friday night, the El Paso County Sheriff's office arrested Jesus Bobles, 20, on murder charges.

That charge stems from a fatal shooting during a Halloween party in East El Paso early Tuesday morning on Nov. 1, on the 1600 Block of Jamin Place in the El Paso Hills area of El Paso County.

KFOX 14 spoke exclusively with the homeowner, Lalo Chavez, just a day after the shooting occurred.

Chavez said his two daughters told him they, and their boyfriends, were alone at the house when dozens of cars showed up uninvited. He said one his daughters then proceeded to kick those unannounced guests out.

Chavez's daughters then told him while kicking people out of their home, fights broke out and eventually ended up in front of the house. Then neighbors said a shot was fired and one man was killed.

That man is reported to be Hector Gonzalez, 19.

Another person, a 17-year-old, was also shot but was said to be okay.
