Amber Alert: Search For Kidnappers Underway

March 24, 2005 —

At 7pm, El Paso Police confirmed to KFOX News that the van containing a family and at least one carjacker was found near the I-10/I-25 interchange in Dona Ana County. Investigators are now on the hunt for a blue Chevy Tahoe that allegedly followed the van and carried two other attackers.

Police say a mother, father and their one-year-old son were carjacked and kidnapped just before 5pm Thursday outside the El Paso Holiday Inn.

Investigators say the three alleged attackers were armed with guns and had bandanas covering their face.

An Amber Alert now centers around the little boy who is described as Hispanic, two feet tall, 35 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information, you are asked to call El Paso Police at 564-7308.
