EL PASO, Texas —

A process server who was accused of promoting prostitution at the El Paso County Courthouse was a former El Paso County Sheriff's detective.

Sheriff Richard Wiles told KFOX14 that Sergio Reyes was hired in August 1977 and worked until December 1996.

Reyes left due to reorganization.

Complaint affidavits stated that an undercover investigation revealed Reyes was luring women who were seeking divorces into prostitution.
