Alamagordo Gets New Airline

EL PASO, Texas —

The U.S. Department of Transportation chooses Pacific Wings to provide flights in and out of Alamogordo.

The airline operating as New Mexico Airlines will fly 12 weekly nonstop round trips to Albuquerque.

Back in May, Mesa Airlines notified the community it would stop operating in Alamogordo.

City officials protested, and the transportation agency told Mesa it could not stop flying to Alamogordo until the city had a replacement.
