About 900 riders took motorcycle safety classes in 2011

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso police said they're making progress in educating motorcyclists on motorcycle safety.

Police said they found that 180 people took advantage of a free class offered in 2011.

Every third Saturday of each month those interested can take the class at 10310 Montana Ave.

In 2011, military personnel at Fort Bliss had about 800 individuals take its motorcycle safety course on post.

Only four motorcycle-related deaths were recorded in 2011 in El Paso.
