EL PASO, Texas —

Fire trucks that have been in service for more than 20 years will have to retire.

El Paso City Council on Tuesday approved spending $4 million on new trucks.

Officials with the El Paso Fire Department said they will get five new pumpers and two quints, which have aerial equipment, including a ladder.

The new trucks will replace the old ones.
