Update: 4 hospitalized in Tornillo rollover

TORNILLO, Texas —

A single-vehicle rollover in Tornillo sent passengers to the hospital Friday morning. 


The crash happened at 10:45 a.m. at Guadalupe and Lower Island roads. 

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies said a vehicle rolled over into a ditch in Tornillo. 

The driver became distracted according to sheriff deputies when she noticed one of her kids standing in the back seat.She told the deputies that the distraction caused her to drive off the roadway. When she lost control her van drove into a canal. 

They said two adults and two children were taken to a hospital. 

There injuries were non-life threatening.
