CUAUHTEMOC, Mexico —
The town sits about 60 miles west of Chihuahua City, Mexico.
KFOX media partners at the El Paso Times report that's where investigators said the men snatched the girl from her mother's arms.
The men then took her to an abandoned building where they beat and raped the girl.
Witnesses heard the girl's screams, but when they tried to help the men threatened them, that's when police were called.
Before police officers arrived the men took the girl and threw her in front of a car that was passing by. She was run over and killed.
Officers were able to arrest the men with the help of descriptions from witnesses.
During their arrest, officers said the men had blood on their clothes.
Investigators examining the girl's body reported finding bodily fluids inside, supposedly belonging to the alleged rapists.
Police also recovered the girl's belongings in the building where it happened.
