189 out of 191 precincts reporting: O'Rourke still leads Reyes in unofficial voting results

EL PASO, Texas —

The race for US Representative District 16 Democratic seat is heating up as Beto O'Rourke leads Silvestre Reyes in unofficial voting results.

With 189 precincts out of 191 reporting, O'Rourke has 50.41 percent of the vote and Reyes trails behind with 44.37 percent. 

County Commissioner Precinct 1 

Bill Lenderman is running unopposed for the Republican seat.

For the Democrats, former police chief Carlos Leon takes the lead with 54.66 percent of the vote, Liza Montelongo has 30.04 percent and Jaime Romo has 15.30 percent.

County Commissioner Precinct 3

Fred Chavez is running unopposed for the Republican seat.

For the Democrats: Chente Quintanilla is in the lead with 36.88 percent of the vote, Vincent Perez has 27.09 percent, Dora Oaxaca has 22.37 percent and Rodolfo Loya has 13.66 percent.
