2 Arrested After Robbing Vending Machine

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

Las Cruces police have two men in custody on suspicion of robbing a vending machine.

Officers said David Grill, 43, and Ali Al-Abyad, 28, now face several charges including non-residential burglary after an officer saw the men burglarized a soft drink machine.

According to police, the men tried to flee the scene but were stopped by additional officers who arrived on the scene.

Both were booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
